Plot: McConaughey defends Jackson who murdered the two White men that raped his daughter.

Review: WOW!!!  This movie is a true rareity. Behind "Schindler's List" and "Dead Man Walking" this movie rates as one of my all time favorites. There are several key elements to this movie that lead to my conclusion. This movie does a tremendous job of a very heavy subject. The movie was beautifully written. It is full of beautiful words and speaches that keep you thinking throughout the movie. Matthew Mconaughey, in his movie debut showed himself to be a tremendous actor. Mconaughey commanded, understood, and portrayed his role beutifully. He rises beyond the one dimensionality which most Hollywood actors are cursed with. As would be expected, Jackson turns in a heart wrenching performance. AND HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS FOLKS....THIS MOVIE HAD ABSOLUTELY NO GRATUITOUS FOUL LANGUAGE OR SEX SCENES - SOMETHING THAT I HAVEN'T SEEN IN A MOVIE IN A LONG TIME. Everybody should rush out to see this movie right away. It's definitely worth it. If you are woried about the rape scene (as my mother is), do not worry. This was also done in a tasteful manner that skillfully adresses its point without offending its viewers.
