My Rating: #
2 1/2 Stars. A well done movie, but too slow moving.
Review:
This was a movie with a potential for greatness that got lost somewhere in its two hours and nine minutes. It's a well-done movie that will keep you scared and in suspense. And everything comes together in the end for a thrilling finish. Director Robert Zemeckis deserves kudos for presenting this movie well. The suspense was real, and the theater audience collectively jumped many times.
As far as acting goes, Pfeiffer and Ford are both accomplished actors who do well here. Frankly, I didn't think Ford distinguished himself in this role as he has in many others, but I'm not sure there was too much opportunity for him to do so.
In the end, there's not much I can say against this movie. It was a good story, well presented, and with a good cast. But in the end, I wasn't crazy over it, and I think that my problem was really with the length of the movie. It could have been better, I think, if it were 15-30 minutes shorter.
