3 Stars
INDEPENDENCE DAY
3 Stars

Stars: Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum, Will Smith, Randy Quaid (And a cute performance by Brent Spiner, better know as Data on the all time best TV show, "Star Trek: The Next Generation")
Rated: PG-13
My Rating: 3 Stars, If you're into it, see it in the Movies.

An Anonymous Opinion: GO AND SEE IT, JEFF IS HOT!!!!
Plot: Extra terestrials attack Earth.

Review: Independence Day is a very well done, well acted movie. Its biggest problem is that there is little to separate the plot from the 1953 movie "The War Of The Worlds."  What it adds to "The War Of The Worlds" is character development and 43 years of movie technology. Although the conclusion to Independence Day is both interesting and creative, it too bares resemblance to the 1953 movie. The acting Independence day is very impressive. I found Bill Pullman to be convincing as the President, and Will Smith to be a believable character. A well done and enjoyable movie, Independence Day only merits three stars because its plot was not original. If you like sci-fi shoot 'em up movies you'll like Independence Day, and you should go see it in the movies because too much will be lost in its translation into TV format.
